In the forward movement, a powerful 20 tons of splitting pressure is available, and in the backward movement, another 17 tons . As a result, the empty return movement typical of classic log splitters is no longer necessary. As soon as a piece of wood has been split on one side, work can immediately continue on the other side.

The heart of the JANSEN® HS-20DS63K is the proven principle of the double splitter . The hydraulic cylinder is used productively in both directions of movement.
- Forward movement: up to 20 tons splitting pressure
- Return: up to 17 tonnes splitting pressure
This eliminates the otherwise customary return in the empty position. Whereas with classic log splitters one must wait for the cylinder to return after a splitting operation, with the HS-20DS63K splitting can continue immediately on the other side.
Especially with larger quantities of firewood, this concept ensures a continuous and efficient work process.
20/17 tons actually measured splitting pressure
The splitting pressure of our log splitters is measured directly at the splitting wedge . The stated 20 tons when moving forward and 17 tons when moving backward therefore refer to the actual splitting pressure exerted on the tool.
As a result, a high splitting capacity is available on both working sides of the double log splitter.
Combination drive – petrol or electric
A particular advantage of the JANSEN® HS-20DS63K is the option to choose between petrol and electric drive .
The hydraulic pump can be powered optionally by a 6.5 PS KOHLER petrol engine or a 400 V electric motor with 2.2 kW .
This allows the log splitter to be flexibly adapted to the specific location of use:
- Petrol company: independent of a power connection
- Electric business: ideal with an existing 400V connection

6.5 PS KOHLER petrol engine
For mobile and power-independent use, a high-quality KOHLER 4-stroke OHV petrol engine with 6.5 hp or 4.8 kW is available.
The motor is started with a reliable pull start , making the log splitter independent of an external power supply.
The tank has a capacity of approximately 3.6 liters . The consumption is approximately 1.0 to 1.2 liters of regular gasoline per hour .
2.2 kW electric motor met 400 V
Alternatively, the JANSEN® HS-20DS63K can be powered via the included 400 V electric motor with a power of 2.2 kW .
A suitable 400 V/16 A power connection is required for this.
Electric use is particularly suitable when a suitable power connection is available and value is placed on a lower noise level and not using fuel during operation.

This positions the wood at a comfortable working height. At the same time, the horizontal construction forms the basis for double splitting on both sides of the hydraulic cylinder.
Split wedge & split cross included
The JANSEN® HS-20DS63K is supplied as standard with a mounted splitting wedge . This has a length of approx. 20 cm and a height of approx. 15 cm .

The JANSEN® HS-20DS63K is delivered well-packaged and disassembled in a sturdy wooden crate .
Please allow approximately 4–5 hours for the final assembly . Due to the weight of individual parts, we recommend performing the assembly with two people .
