The JANSEN® TS-22 is a heavy-duty, robustly constructed PTO-driven log splitter with 22 metric tons of maximum splitting force and a maximum splitting length of 110 cm. The log splitter is driven by the PTO shaft of a suitable tractor and is connected to the carrier vehicle via the 3-point hitch.
The integrated hydraulic pump is driven by the PTO shaft and generates the hydraulic power required for the splitting process. The maximum PTO speed is 540 rpm. The required drive shaft is not included.
Standard features include a practical log lifter, two working speeds, two different operating modes for the splitting wedge, and an adjustable cylinder stroke limiter. With a net weight of approx. 320 kg, the TS-22 features a robust design.

22 metric tons of splitting force & 110 cm splitting length
The JANSEN® TS-22 achieves a maximum splitting force of 22 metric tons. The maximum splitting length is 110 cm, allowing for the processing of correspondingly long pieces of wood.
When the cylinder is fully extended, the distance between the splitting wedge and the ground is approximately 20 cm. The splitting wedge itself has a length of 22 cm.
The hydraulic cylinder has a diameter of 115 mm and is equipped with a piston rod with a 60 mm diameter.
PTO drive up to a maximum of 540 rpm.
The hydraulic pump integrated into the TS-22 is driven by the PTO shaft of a suitable tractor. The maximum PTO speed is 540 rpm.
This means the log splitter requires neither its own gasoline engine nor an electric motor. A suitable tractor with a PTO drive is required for operation.
Please note: The drive shaft required for operation is not included.
3-point hitch for tractors
The JANSEN® TS-22 is connected to a suitable tractor via its 3-point hitch.
The top link pin has a diameter of 19 mm, and the lower link pins have a diameter of 22 mm.
In addition to operation, the 3-point hitch also allows the machine to be towed by the carrier vehicle.
Two operating speeds
The JANSEN® TS-22 operates at two speeds. The faster speed is used to bring the splitting wedge into contact with the wood. A slower speed is available for the actual splitting process.
The maximum cylinder speed is approximately 8 seconds in the forward stroke and approximately 10 seconds in the return stroke.
Two operating modes for the splitting wedge
The JANSEN® TS-22 offers two different operating modes via a simple spring mechanism:
1. Automatic return:
After releasing the control levers, the splitting wedge automatically returns to the preset position. The return position can be continuously adjusted using a lever. For this operating mode, the spring must be disengaged.
2. Splitting wedge remains in position:
After releasing the control lever, the splitting wedge remains in its current position. It only returns when the control lever is pushed upward. For this operating mode, the spring must be engaged.
This allows the operation to be adapted to different log lengths and working conditions.
Adjustable cylinder stroke limit
The cylinder stroke limit can be adjusted on the TS-22 . This allows the stroke to be adjusted accordingly, for example, when working with shorter pieces of wood.
This reduces unnecessarily long cylinder strokes when handling shorter firewood.
Log lifter included as standard
The attached log lifter assists in raising and positioning heavy logs. This means that large pieces of wood do not have to be lifted entirely by hand into the working position.
If the log lifter is not needed, it can be locked into the upper position, where it serves as a second safety bar.
Transport & Lowered Cylinder
The log splitter stands on two wheels and also features a transport wheel. This allows the machine to be moved by hand at the work site. Due to its weight of approximately 320 kg, it is recommended to have a second person assist with this.
Alternatively, the TS-22 can be attached to a suitable tractor via its 3-point hitch.
For transport and handling, the cylinder can be lowered with minimal effort to a height of approximately 1.88 m.

The JANSEN® TS-22 is manufactured and produced in accordance with the EU product safety standard EN 609:2017.
Important: A splitting cross is included in the scope of delivery. However, within the European Union, this must not be used when operating the log splitter, as EN 609:2017 does not permit the use of multiple splitting wedges or splitting crosses with log splitters.

Delivery & Commissioning
The JANSEN® TS-22 is delivered well-protected and in an upright position. Allow approximately 30 minutes for final assembly and commissioning.
A German operating manual and an exploded view diagram are included in the scope of delivery. The hydraulic system requires approximately 24 liters of HLP46-rated hydraulic oil.
Note on the transport support: The transport support included with the delivery is intended solely to support the cylinder during shipping. It must be removed after the initial setup of the log splitter and replaced, for example, with a suitable log, in accordance with the specifications.
