The JANSEN® SMA-700 Tilting Saw is a powerful and portable firewood saw designed for the efficient processing of logs and firewood. A powerful 15 PS LonCin G-420F gasoline engine, combined with the 700 mm carbide-tipped circular saw blade, ensures high cutting performance and makes the SMA-700 independent of a power outlet or tractor PTO.
Thanks to the virtually loss-free direct belt drive, engine power is reliably transferred to the saw blade. As a result, the large circular saw blade cuts powerfully through the wood, enabling rapid progress in firewood processing.
Another advantage is its high mobility: The SMA-700 comes standard with its own chassis with pneumatic tires as well as a drawbar with a ball-head coupling. This allows the tilting saw to be easily moved to the desired location on a farm, property, or company grounds.

15 PS gasoline engine – independent and powerful
At the heart of the JANSEN® SMA-700 is the powerful LonCin G-420F 4-stroke OHV gasoline engine with a 420 ccm displacement and 15 PS output.
Thanks to its built-in gasoline engine, you need neither a high-voltage power connection nor a tractor to power the saw. This allows the SMA-700 to be used flexibly right where the firewood needs to be processed.
The engine features an automatic low-oil shut-off system and can be started either using the classic recoil starter or conveniently via the integrated electric starter. The required 12-volt battery is already installed on the machine and is included in the scope of delivery.
700 mm carbide-tipped saw blade for powerful cuts
The SMA-700 is equipped with a large 700 mm circular saw blade. The saw blade is carbide-tipped and designed for powerful processing of firewood.
A direct belt drive efficiently transfers the power of the 15 PS gasoline engine to the saw blade. The maximum saw blade speed is 1,440 rpm.
This gives the JANSEN® SMA-700 the necessary power reserves for fast and efficient firewood processing.
Mobile chassis with pneumatic tires and ball-head hitch
A key advantage of the JANSEN® SMA-700 over many stationary rocker saws is the standard chassis with sturdy pneumatic tires.
In addition, the firewood saw features a drawbar with a ball-head hitch. This allows the machine to be easily moved on suitable terrain using an appropriate towing vehicle.
This is a major advantage, especially on larger properties, farms, or firewood storage areas: Instead of having to transport the firewood to the saw, the SMA-700 can be moved directly to the respective work area.
Optional drawbar extension
For even greater flexibility when maneuvering and when using various suitable towing vehicles, we offer an optional drawbar extension for the JANSEN® SMA-700.
The extension increases the distance between the towing vehicle and the tilting saw. This can be particularly advantageous when maneuvering or when using, for example, a quad, ATV, lawn tractor, or other suitable towing vehicles.
The drawbar extension is not included in the standard scope of delivery and is available from us as an option.
Widenable rocker for a larger wood support surface
Practical operation was also taken into account for the wood support surface. The rocker can be widened on the left side, providing a larger support surface for longer pieces of wood when needed.
An approx. 20 cm wide extension is already included in the scope of delivery.
This allows the cut material to be securely supported during the sawing process and fed to the saw blade in a controlled manner.
Solid length stop for uniform firewood
On the right side of the sawing bench is a sturdy stop that allows firewood to be cut to a uniform length.
The stop consists of a solid flat iron profile and is designed to be correspondingly robust. This makes it easy to set recurring cut lengths.
The stop allows pieces of wood to be cut to a length of up to max. 56 cm.
Robust Construction for Firewood Processing
The JANSEN® SMA-700 is designed for regular firewood processing tasks. With a dry weight of approx. 150 kg, the machine is stable yet remains mobile thanks to its own chassis.
The durable hammered finish protects the structure and is resistant to the typical stresses encountered when working around the woodpile, yard, and property.

Delivery & Assembly
The JANSEN® SMA-700 is delivered well-protected and disassembled in a sturdy wooden crate. For the initial assembly, you should plan on approximately 2–3 hours.
To start up the machine, you will also need regular gasoline and approximately 1 liter of motor oil. We recommend a multigrade oil with a classification of 10W40 or 15W40.
